These must be done approximately 1 week before surgery.
POST-OPERATIVE CARE / FOLLOW-UP
APPOINTMENTS, PICTURES AND VIDEO
Appropriate follow-up care can help reduce the risk of complications after surgery and support recovery process.
The number of follow-up appointments required depends on the surgical procedure done. Our patients are typically seen the day after surgery, at 3-5 days, at 8-10 days, at 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 3 months.
In case patients cannot stay in Cancun throughout their entire recovery process, it is very important that they keep in touch with their patient coordinator and/or personal concierge and send pictures and/or videos documenting their recovery process.
The first month it is mandatory to send pictures at least every week.
Patients must contact us if they are experiencing complications or their recovery is not going well. Dr. Carmona is more than happy to give his feedback anytime.
Every patient is responsible for the after-care once discharged from the hospital. You have to contact us to follow up on your recovery process and if there is any complication, doubt or persisting discomfort, you must contact our office right away.
Patients who try Medical Tourism, all over the world, are responsible and entitled to send After-surgery pictures, The first month it is mandatory to send follow-up pictures every week, then every 2 weeks for the following 2 months.
If the pre-operative and post-operative follow-up instructions are ignored and Patients should have any complications during the first 3 months, the guarantee of Dr. Carmona’s work will not be valid anymore.
